Step 3 · Check

Read the answer with care, and confirm what matters with a trusted source.

Look over the answer. Is it right? Where did it come from?

In every Ask & Answer™ guidebook

Check anything that affects money, health, legal matters, or safety with an official source or a trusted person.

What it means

Check means reading the answer slowly and asking: Is it right? Where did it come from? Does it fit my life?

Anything that affects money, health, legal matters or safety gets checked with an official source or a trusted person, such as your doctor, pharmacist, bank, or a family member you trust.

Why it matters

  • AI tools write fluent, confident answers, and some of those answers are wrong or incomplete. HuggingChat’s own screen says generated content “may be inaccurate or false.”
  • An AI tool can be wrong in either direction: it can miss a scam or flag a real message.
  • An AI tool does not know your health history, your accounts or your local rules.

Check, in everyday life

Three moments that come up every week: a scam text, a health question and a photo you want to share.

A scam text

Read the warning signs, then call the company yourself

Common warning signs: urgency, requests for gift cards or wire transfers, strange sender addresses, spelling mistakes, and requests for codes or passwords.

Check by contacting the company yourself, using the phone number on your card, your bill or the official website.

A health question

Treat health facts as questions for your doctor

Read the list. Cross out anything that does not fit you. The AI tool does not know your health history.

For anything about your body or your medicine, the final answer comes from your doctor or pharmacist.

A photo to share

Compare the answer with the real item

Did it read the words on the letter correctly? Does the flower in the answer look like the one in your garden? If not, say what is different and ask again.
