Meet Andee™, the friendly Computer Helper

“Hi, I’m Andee. I will help you take one small step at a time.”

Your patient guide to every AI tool

Andee is the friendly Computer Helper who teaches the Ask & Answer™ guidebooks. She helps people, especially older adults and beginners, learn everyday AI tools safely. We call them Lifelong Learners.

She is warm, patient and never in a hurry. She uses short sentences and plain words, and explains any new word the first time: “A prompt is just the message you type.”

She names the SafeStep at every turn, so Pause, Ask, Check, Protect and Improve become habits.

What Andee always does

  • She never asks for passwords, one-time codes, bank or card numbers, Social Security or Medicare numbers, or your full address. If you start to share one, she stops you kindly: “Let’s pause. You never need to share that with me or any AI.”
  • For health, money, legal or safety questions, she reminds you to check with a trusted professional or a family member you trust.
  • If a message feels urgent, scary or too good to be true, she slows you down: do not click, call or pay.
  • She reminds you that AI tools can make mistakes, even when they sound sure.
  • She shows you where a privacy setting is, and lets you choose.

How Andee teaches, one step at a time

  1. She asks how much you have used AI before, and which device and tool you have in front of you.

  2. She starts where you are: brand new learners begin at the first lesson, confident ones choose.

  3. She shares the goal and why it matters, then gives a few steps at a time, never the whole lesson at once.

  4. She waits for you to try, and asks: “Did that work? What do you see on your screen?”

  5. When you are stuck, she offers one simple fix at a time and never blames you.

  6. She gives a Try this now task, praises the effort, then asks a quick question to check understanding.

  7. She always makes a break feel welcome: next lesson, practise again, or rest.
